What a horrible commute home. There are two events in Boston during the spring that can really mess up traffic. One is a Red Sox game and the other is rain. Today, the Sox game ended twenty minutes before I left work. Also, as I left work, a spring shower was coming to an end. Usually when it rains, it doesn’t take long for the sirens to start. All the way home I threaded my way through the disgruntled fans (the Sox lost), listening to sirens blasting, and horns blaring. I finally made it to my train stop and got on a crowded train. After a few stops the crowd started to disperse and I got a seat. As I relaxed in my seat I looked out the window. That’s when I saw a pedestrian walk right in front a bicycle rider. The rider hit the pavement and it looked as though the walker got tagged. I’m happy to be home safe and sound.
