Views on the way

This past Friday we took off after work and headed out of town.  Our final destination for the night was Dover, Delaware.  Since we left so late we had great driving views for the first few hours and I was able to get some pictures from the car.  It was a long drive and we didn’t check into our hotel until well after midnight, but I still love road trips.  After living in a crowded city for the past 5 years, it feels so good to leave the confines of crowds, traffic, and buildings and hit the open road.  The drive back from Ocean City, New Jersey on Monday was just as beautiful and we were able to see some of the scenery we missed while driving on Friday night.

View of Flushing Meadows in Queens.

Losing daylight.

Skyline of New York City.

Sunset on the road.

Another sunset picture.

New Jersey

Another Jersey view.

Every road trip has to deal with construction.

Up next: Day one of the weekend.

This is so making me wish it wasn’t just Wednesday! This week is dragging something fierce.

  2. Hi Carl. I feel your pain. The work week seems so much longer for me during the warm months. I’d rather be sitting on my deck, reading a good book, and relaxing.

  3. Meredith says:

I like the picture of the NY skyline.
