Giraffes are so lovely! I was allowed to feed one when I was a kid (at Safari-Zoo), was a great experience.
That would be a great experience. I bet it was adorable!
Oh, Giraffes! And I love your tagline! Haha!!
Great photo, TBM! 🙂
They look a little confused to me. They are wonderful animals. I love the sincerity in their faces.
Great photo!! I love those giraffes! I have a similar photo of majestic giraffes…but with a big concrete structure behind them…..and fencing in front of them. Ok, ok, maybe someday I’ll have the opportunity to take photos with the awesome background like yours.
Thanks! It was cool to see them in their natural habitat. I hope you do get to see them in their domain. It is incredible.
I am always in awe of you animal photographs. I just can’t imagine being so close to them outside of a zoo.
Thanks. I do feel lucky to have had these experiences.
These giraffes are regal. Lovely photo.
Thanks. I’m a sucker for animals. I love their honest ways.
Lovely pictures, I wish it was summer now! 😀
Not a winter fan huh? Actually this photo was taken during their winter. It was really cold at night but would get into the 70s during the day, which I think is around 21C. We could be in t shirts during the day and had several layers on at night.
The more I see of your pictures, the more I want to visit Botswana.
I hope you go. It is one of the most beautiful places I’ve seen and experienced.
I’m guessing you’ve read The Number One Ladies’ Detective Agency books?
love ’em love ’em!
I thought of you when I posted this photo. They are sweet aren’t they?
I loved your tagline! “Confused” giraffes. Hehehe. But their confusion made your photo even more interesting. I loved it! 🙂
Thanks! Animals are amazing. I wish I knew what they were thinking.
Fantastic!
Thanks Hook!
Right time, right place you captured a moment… I loved them. Thank you dear TBM, with my love, nia
Thanks. Luck was on my side that day!
Hi Isobel. Actually I haven’t read the Detective Agency books. I know I should add them to my list since they take place in Botswana, or at least that is my understanding. Have you read them?
