I keep hearing from my friends in Boston that there isn’t any snow. About a year ago, the entire town was blanketed in a foot of snow.

Very pretty and much too cold for me!
It was cold since the wind was quite fierce. It kept blowing snow and ice into my face.
great photo TBM!!!
Thanks Xandi!
This is something that we are missing this year here in Holland. No snow at all!
Really?! This has been such an odd winter. Today it has been cold in London, but for the most part the weather has been quite mild.
Really lovely photo.
Can I ask?, is it black and white or colour.
There is something very beautiful about the tones in the photo.
Dave
Thank you. I took it in color, but at the time the snow was still coming down at a decent rate so the lens what a bit smudged.
Love snow in the trees…so pretty.
It is a pretty sight, especially freshly fallen snow that hasn’t been spoiled.
lovely photo. i can imagine the squishy yet crunchy sound of the snow under my boots as i walk. thanks for posting it 🙂
I remember walking in the snow this day and it was difficult since my feet would keep sinking to find the ground. But it was fun!
Trees with snow how beautiful… This is one of your beautiful photographs dear TBM, I loved it. Thank you, with my love, nia
Thanks Nia! Nature makes some beautiful photographs.
Wonder why the sudden snow?
As far as I know, Boston still hasn’t had snow. This was taken last January.
Beautiful winter scene!
Thank you!
That’s almost dreamlike – very nice TBM!! We have snow here now, but still not near what we usually have at this time of year.
I wish we would get some snow. From what I hear, most people are experiencing an odd winter. I wonder what spring will bring.
I adore this image… I so miss snow… none where I live:)
I miss it as well. There is something so peaceful about fresh snow on the ground.
Aaaaahhh… magical!!!! 🙂 **
It does seem like it is out of a fairy tale.
Usually when we are experiencing milder conditions than usual somewhere else in the world is going through extreme weather, but this winter everyone seems to remarking on how warm this winter is.
I have noticed that as well. I wonder if winter will really arrive for any of us.
Gorgeous, the sense of silence and depth is amazing. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks Nigel for the kind words.
Very pretty! Mystical and beautiful. 🙂
Thanks Nandini!
That’s what I woke up to this morning. Our first snow.
I’m jealous. I love a snowy morning, especially on a weekend when I can curl up and read a good book and watch the scene outside.
blanket describes it perfectly – it looks so lovely, a winter wonderland =)
Thanks! A winter wonderland is a beautiful thing to witness.
Beautiful shot. There has indeed been a lot less snow than normal in the eastern half of the U.S. this winter.
Thanks! From what I hear, many areas around the world are experiencing mild winters.
Beautiful shot, but I HATE snow!!
🙂 I think I love snow since I grew up in Southern California and it never snowed.
I love the whiteness of that photo. Looks so cold.
TBM, do you have any plan to visit Indonesia, but not Bali. Just wondering since you are planning to visit 192 countries
I hope to eventually get to Indonesia since it is on my 192 countries list. Not sure when. Should I not go to Bali?
I don’t say you shouldn’t…but that place is too common. Bali is not the only place to visit in Indonesia.
Here’s an example of places to visit in Indonesia>> http://bokunosekai.wordpress.com/2011/10/31/the-beauty-of-green-canyon-cukang-taneuh/
Thanks!
I love snow! What a beautiful picture! 😀
Me too…especially fresh snow. I keep hoping for some this year, but I don’t think it will happen in London.
I am born and bred in a tropical country, and the first time I encountered snow was roughly same time last year when we visited Yosemite and Lake Tahoe (stayed with family in California) – I must say that I don’t particularly miss it. Hahahaha. 🙂 It was fun though. Lovely photo (as always!).
Thanks! I grew up in a warm climate and I find myself drawn to colder climates now. Yosemite and Lake Tahoe are beautiful areas to visit!
fine snow photo!
Thanks Frizz!
I love photos of snow. But I’m happy we’re getting rain today instead.
I also love the rain!
Ja eine Schneelandschaft sieht sehr schön aus ,aber ich mag die kälte nicht und den Schnee dazu, das ist nicht mein Ding,wünsche dir eine schöne Woche Klaus
🙂 Snow is pretty, but sometimes it is best to view it from inside a warm house. I wish you an early spring.
