Do I Look Silly?

Since it has been cold lately, Miles has been wearing his sweater on a regular basis.  Boston Terriers are not made for cold climates.  Poor Miles can get cold during the summer at nightfall.  Due to this he has quite a collection of sweaters and jackets.  This one fits him best, but he hates sweater weather.  He always gives me the look that says, “I hate this!”  But if I take it off, he freezes.  I don’t think he’s made the connection yet.

No, you don’t look silly, lovely Miles! Just a little bit confused… 🙂 But be sure, you are so nice and so lovely… This sweater so nice on you… You are lucky one, don’t forget this 🙂 and don’t forget to tell your beautiful owner, my greetings, and love, He did a great shot again! love, nia

    • TBM says:

Ah Nia you are always so kind! Miles and I hope you have a wonderful day!

      • niasunset says:

You are too, Thank you, it wasn’t a wonderful day, but I enjoyed even I was in the dentist clinic 🙂 But I love my dentist. Seems that we have both snow at the same time… It is still snowing… Have a nice day for you all, with my love, nia

      • TBM says:

Sorry to hear that your day wasn’t great. The dentist isn’t one of my favorite things to do either. I hope everything is ok!

  2. Carl V. says:

He probably hasn’t made the connection. As a friend of mine would say, this is just more proof that dogs will never take over the world!

Silly? Not really. Cute maybe. And hey, the sweater he is wearing has that kind of English polo club look so he’s just adapting to his new environment.

    • TBM says:

My cat would totally agree with your friend! He has one jacket that we refer to as his Sherlock Holmes jacket. He is totally adapting.

  3. Miles gets the same faces as Otis for the cold season. Otis also has a large collection of sweaters, winter coats and boots. If you want Otis to stay in one spot while you are trying to get ready go out, just have to put his sweater or coat on him first and he will stand there like a statue. Once he gets outside though it is a whole different story. I’m thinking that I am going to have to learn to crotchet a hat for him as his ears get so cold. Poor guy, I can’t even begin to imagine what goes through his mind when he knows the sweater’s or coat’s come out.
It’s kind of funny though as there are a few BT’s in my area and you see them all out at different times all dressed for the cold.
Hang in there Miles, spring will surely come, then we get to deal with trying to keep you cool as the heat is no better than the cold!!

    • TBM says:

Oh a crocheted hat would be adorable. I often wonder if Miles’ ears gets cold, especially on windy days. Miles is a lot like Otis, he will stand there and let me put his winter clothes on. However, once dressed he is ready to play.

We have three BT’s in the neighborhood and I love seeing their outfits. The little girl has the most dainty ones and yet she plays the hardest outside. She cracks me up. Oh animals are a riot!

  4. He does NOT look silly. What he does look is indignant!!! Oh the things we do to keep warm!!! 🙂

  5. Kristina says:

Awww poor Miles 😀 It’s the second time I see his unhappy face 😀 Tell him he looks cute and there are plenty of dogs wearing sweaters in London 😀

  6. Fergiemoto says:

Awwwwwww, he looks sooooooo cute. Maybe someday he will make the connection that “sweater = warm.”

  7. Robyn says:

Aww! Miles looks so cute! I love seeing dogs in sweaters, they’re just so adorable!

  8. Gilly Gee says:

You have just made my friends day! She grew up with Bostons in Kentucky and Indiana and absolutely loves them. Miles looks cute in his sweater, I didn’t take on board that you brought him with you.

    • TBM says:

Poor Miles has traveled a lot in his life. He moved from Colorado to Massachusetts and then from Massachusetts to England. But he’s just too cute to leave behind! Miles is my first Boston Terrier and he’s a fantastic dog. I’m glad your friend enjoyed the picture.

  9. Kate Kresse says:

Miles is lucky to be such high fashion 🙂

  10. wolke205 says:

Awww 😉 Poor poor Miles 😉 But he looks so lovely with! My last riding instructor put a huge & thick sweater on her great dane also – Betty was freezing so much without that she could barely walk without shaking 😉 Great shot, I love his face!

  11. Caroline says:

They way he looks is so accusing, poor little Miles. I think he looks cute and it is important he wears it.

  12. Oh poor Miles! He does happen to look pretty cute though, despite that little scowl of his going on 😉

  13. Poor Miles but it is a supremely on trend sweater!!

  14. pagesofjulia says:

Too funny, but I know exactly what you mean! We, too, have a shivery little guy who hates sweaters but is miserable without one. And this is in Houston, no less. Forbid he should ever see a real winter!

  15. Awww, Bostons are so cute! My dog detests his sweater too. I have a down jacket for him that’s easier to get on, but you’d think I was torturing him.

    • TBM says:

Oh I’ll have to look for a down jacket. That might be much warmer. I don’t know why they don’t know we are just taking care of them.

  16. Palm Trees & Bare Feet says:

Awww! Well, Miles looks absolutely adorable!

My sister’s roommate has one of those hairless dogs (I don’t know the breed), and he wears a sweater/shirt in the winter and even in the summer because the poor thing gets sunburned! I always used to scowl every time I would read about celebrities like Paris Hilton dressing up their dogs, but in actuality, dogs like Miles and the hairless ones really do need them!

    Cute picture! 🙂

    • TBM says:

One of my friends in Colorado had a hairless dog. The poor little guy was always freezing I felt so bad for him. I didn’t know they sunburned, but that makes sense. I don’t think I could afford the clothes Paris Hilton buys for her dogs. I don’t even want to see that bill.

  17. T. F. Walsh says:

Ohh you look too adorable…and very huggable:)

  18. The Hook says:

Even if you did, I wouldn’t tell you…

  19. Haha so cute 😀 And what a stylish sweater 😉

  20. frizztext says:

    I should do the same for our cat;
we found her on a hot street in Italy
and took her north to cold Germany …

  21. Well hello there handsome. That’s a fashion statement, methinks. Such a cutie. 🙂

  22. buddhafulkat says:

Aww, poor guy! He’s adorable =)

  23. carol says:

He looks adorable! I always threaten to put a sweater on our dog, not because he gets cold, but because I think it would be cute. I always get out-voted.

  24. Jackie Cangro says:

Stay warm, Miles! You look very handsome in your argyle sweater. We’ll try to send you some of our mild weather.
Reggie doesn’t mind his sweaters. He’s a bit oblivious. 😉

    • TBM says:

Warm weather would be very welcome. Last night was the coldest one since I’ve been here. But I think it is supposed to warm up some this week. I bet Reggie looks adorable in his sweaters.

  25. juchevegan says:

I love Miles! I have an 8 year old pied French Bulldog that people often confuse with Boston Terriers, mostly innocently enough, although sometimes they say insulting things like “your Boston Terrier is fat!” She also does not like her winter coat and tries to wiggle out of it whenever she can.

    • TBM says:

I love French Bulldogs! They are so adorable–such cute faces. Why don’t they love their winter clothes? We are just trying to keep them warm.
