Travel Photo of the Day (Feb. 22)

During our river cruise on the Zambezi we stopped on this little island to enjoy a cocktail and watch the sunset.  It was somewhat intimidating being on this island since we had seen elephants, hippos, and crocodiles all along the river.  What’s lurking behind the bushes? Fortunately I didn’t find out.

Lovely, and creepy! I think I’d make that a quick cocktail – or maybe a shot! Don’t want to think about what’s behind the bushes. How many places have you visited so far?
    Lynn 😀

A shot would have been better. I’ve only been to 11 countries. 3 of those have been in Africa. The travel part of my challenge will take the longest to complete I think and hopefully I will be successful or get pretty darn close. Only time will tell.

  2. Truly gorgeous shot, and you are very brave I must say. I would have been very nervous to be anywhere near water that had crocodiles in it. Even in the boat I would have been nervous, but I still would have gone. You can’t pass up an opportunity like that!! 🙂

That is true…and it was my first chance of many to use what the guides called “African toilets.” After a couple of glasses of wine on the boat, well I didn’t care too much about where I went 🙂

Yes, I would be keeping my guard up while still enjoying the sunset and cocktails.
