This past Monday was not my best day. The weekend before had been delightful. When I woke up on Monday morning, I felt recharged and was ready to conquer a long to do list. However, life had other ideas for me. As one thing occurred after another I decided that getting frustrated was not going to help. Instead, I grabbed my best friend, Miles, and went for a long walk. It was the best choice. Nature helps me refocus my energy. Taking a break, even when I’m stressed, helps me accomplish more.

And Miles loves to take things in as well.

Lovely pictures. You are so right. Often we think it’s not feasible but we should do it. There is nothing as bad as to keep on running when the batteries are already low.
I know. So many of us keep pushing and pushing and then wonder why we crash. Everything needs to recharge.
Wow, you have that many flowers blooming over there already??? I won’t see colour like that until May! Thank you for the burst of colour this morning. You put some “spring” in my step. 🙂
Glad I could help! May is just around the corner…hang in there!
Don’t get me wrong – it’s incredibly, unseasonably warm here this week, so I can’t complain, but it would be nice to see some colour like that. :). Enjoy!
When you do see some color I hope you share some photos! I would love to see your part of the world.
Ahh, flowers and dogs – if they can’t cheer you up, nothing will! They work for me, anyway.
I agree…it is the little things in our life that matter the most.
Totally agree with that 🙂
Me too Alastair!
As photosfromtheloonybin said, I’m surprised to see so many things flowering in London this early in the year. It’s fair to say they kept you out of the loony bin that day.

I don’t think this early spring is normal. Now they are talking that we are in a drought since we haven’t had a lot of rain/snow and very mild temperatures. From what I hear, this has been an unusual winter for England.
What lovely, happy pictures. 🙂 Yes, taking a break to breathe is one of the best things to do. Hope you have a great weekend!
Thanks! I hope you have a wonderful weekend!
Totally agree. It’s really hard to feel stressed with all that beauty around. A dog makes everything better too.
Nature has always been the best cure for me. And having Miles is great. He makes me smile every day.
Aw….that made my morning seeing all of those beautiful flowers AND Miles!!! I think you just did the smartest thing ever by scrapping it all and just going for a walk. It clears the head, doesn’t it??? Thanks for the lift this morning!
I’m glad you liked it Beth Ann. Sometimes it is better to just throw your hands in the air and walk away. Or you will just drive yourself crazy. Happy Friday!
No flowers yet for us here in Colorado either. Soon, though! Looks like you and Miles had a lovely day. 😉
What part of Colorado are you in. I used to live in Littleton and then Fort Collins. I miss the mountains.
Absolutely gorgeous, that must have done you the world of good.
It really did!
Beautiful pics that put a smile on my face. Love Spring and all the renewal that goes on around us. I take my pooches for walks too and it relaxes me and let’s me breathe… unless of course I have one or all 3 kids with me, then I come back more stressed than before. 🙂
LOL…that does sound stressful…hopefully it is a fun type of stress.
We all need to take breaks and refresh ourselves. It’s great you were able to do that and find some happy colors during your walk. Seeing those beautiful flowers would help de-stress me. Glad Miles enjoyed it, too!
I noticed yesterday that our tulips and daffodils are making an appearance! They are less than an inch tall…just barely coming out of hiding!
That is exciting when you first notice spring flowers popping up. I hope they are wonderful and I wish you a happy and colorful spring!
Nothing like a great springtime walk to get you going again! Nice photos too.
It worked for me. Thanks!
Fantastic photos!
Thanks Robyn!
These are so beautiful dear TBM, a beautiful and lovely friend, Miles and beautiful flowers… Wonderful photographs you captured, Thank you, have a nice weekend, with my love, nia
Thanks Nia!
Ahhhh Spring! Rejuvenation is “in the air”. Great photos.
PKC
Yes it is and I’m loving it. Thanks!
a walk like that must have helped! Clematis – gorgeous, one of my very favourite plants and I can’t wait for them to bloom!
I just planted a Clematis on my balcony and I can’t wait for it to grow and bloom.
Oh fabulous there are one or two that have fragrance!
A recharge of the batteries does a blogger good, right?
Yes…I bet you have to recharge all the time after dealing with your customers.
Good decision to throw your hands in the air, take a break, grab Miles and the camera and capture spring in all its glory.
I didn’t have a choice…I prefer peace of mind over stress. And Miles is always eager to get out there and explore.
Nature IS the best therapy, as I’m sure you must have discovered. You are blessed to have great weather. As much as I wish to visit the parks more (as they are truly beautiful and well-preserved here in Singapore), the humidity/heat makes me re-evaluate other alternatives.
I totally understand. I have a hard time tolerating heat and humidity. The weather has been gorgeous here. I hope you can still enjoy nature, even if at small intervals.
