P is for Peacock

This week’s letter for Frizztext’s A-Z archive photo challenge is P.  I stumbled upon this peacock in Holland Park in London a couple of weeks ago.  He was busy grooming himself and didn’t seem too pleased to be caught in a private moment.  His glare scared me and I left him in peace.

Last year I was fortunate to see a mommy peacock with her chicks at a park. They were adorable – but clearly not majestic like this one.

They are facing down on the other side of the fence. I would love to see the babies. I wonder if there will be any soon at the park.
