Travel Photo of the Day (May 1)

“Did you guys hear that?”  My first safari in Botswana was memorable for so many reasons.  One reason was watching this group of giraffes at sunset.

I know what you mean. I love hearing of other’s adventures which can help inspire my next travel plans. Thanks again. Cheers.

When I hear and read about other people’s adventures it does set off the travel bug in me. If I could, I would travel all of the time.

Wow this is so beautiful. Look at the sky! Giraffes have such soft and cuddly faces. Here in our zoo are some giraffes and we could take some beautiful photographs.

    • TBM says:

They always look so sincere to me. I remember being fascinated with giraffes the first time I saw some in the San Diego Zoo when I was kid. Thanks for the kind words.

I would love to go to Botswana someday. I did a safari in South Africa and it was amazing. I must admit sleeping at night in the wild was a bit nerve-wracking but it was one of the most memorable experiences of my life.

    • TBM says:

The nighttime was a tad bit scary. It was very, very quiet and I felt all alone. However, it was also one of the greatest experiences I’ve ever had. Botswana is beautiful. We visited South Africa, but didn’t do any safaris there.

  8. Northern Narratives says:

    They look so tall.

“my first safari…” ! How many have you done? 🙂

    • TBM says:

We went to three different camps to go on Safaris that offered different landscapes and animals. It was the same trip, but this is a picture from the first camp that was located near Chobe National Park.
