The sun made an appearance in London today. We have had a lot of rain and cloudy days lately and when I woke up I was surprised to see blue overhead. It made me wish I was on a beach. This photo was taken in Cape Ann, Massachusetts. I hope all of you have a wonderful weekend!

This is so beautiful photograph… Hit me strongly… what impressed me so much, I think this house and the kites… you captured such a beautiful composition dear TMB, there is sculpture in front of the house too… lions I think… I loved it so much, in many ways hit me. This is one of my best of among your all other photographs… Thank you, have a nice day and weekend, love, nia
Thank you so much Nia. You made my day! I loved this house and would love to live there and to have these views from all of my windows. I would never stop taking pictures. Have a wonderful weekend Nia!
Ok my friend I need a favour. Can you please hold on to that sunshine because youngest brat leaves for Jolly Old England on Monday!! They need nice weather for their walking tours. So, this weekend for me is going to be laundry and packing and worrying!! He is really getting excited now – first plane ride and everything. :). Lovely photo by the way!
Oh goodness this is a lot of pressure! You want me to make the rain go away in London. Do you even know what you are asking 🙂 That is so cool that he’s excited. Sometimes teenagers refuse to show any emotion. I hope he has wonderful weather, a safe trip, and the best time ever. Pssstt…I left my laundry outside your door just in case you don’t have enough. Good luck this weekend and try not to worry, even though I know you will.
Wow, that must have cost you a fortune to get your laundry here. I hope you are paying for the return trip. Oh wait, I’ll send it back with Daniel. 🙂 Thanks for the positive thoughts for his trip by the way. I will worry, but I know he is going to have a fabulous time!! Hopefully he takes tons of photos to share with us when he gets home.
He’ll have a great time…so far weather looks pretty decent for next week. Some rain in the morning but then partly sunny in the afternoons.
Yayyy, keep up the good work!!
Have a wonderful weekend, yourself… love the photo, especially those stone steps and the way they fit into their setting. Interesting roof line on the home, too.
Thanks…I loved that house and would love to live there.
This photo reminds me a bit of Maine. I love the New England States. It’s been rainy and chilly here in the Catskills too, but tons of sunshine now. Have a lovely weekend! 🙂
The sun is still out in London! The New England States are so beautiful. I love the coastline and all of the trees. Have a great weekend!
TBM, you know what I love about your photo posts? Context! Discussion! The tie-in to your sunny morning in London, in this case. Keep ’em coming!
Thanks Julia…I’ll do my best. Have a wonderful day.
A lovely photo, TBM. It’s Mother’s Day weekend here in the States, so, yes, we do have plans to make it a wonderful one! As always, thanks for sending your good wishes out into the blogosphere. 😉
Have a wonderful Mother’s Day!
Thank you, kindly. 🙂
Lovely and sunny. Here in NZ we also had the whole week only rain and rain and rain. Thanks For the bit of sunshine.
I’m glad I could help…I hope the real thing heads your way soon.
What a nice picture. I love the colors and composition!
Thank you!
Isn’t it good to see proper blue skies again, not just little hints of blue tucked into the grey. And everything is so wonderfully green.
I did miss seeing blue skies and I was walking around today and I was still surprised by how green it is. I know we had a lot of rain and cool weather, but it is so green.
That is so gorgeous… a huge right by the sea.
Thanks T.F!
Beautiful photo! I like the splash of vibrant colors from the kite.
It was hard to get the kite in the shot since each time I would get ready to snap the wind would change. Glad it finally worked.
That rainbow-colored kite really stood out for me. Like a burst of edible rainbow. 🙂
The sky was eating it up 🙂
