This week’s inspiration from Jake is water. Without water, many of us would not survive. Here are some photos taken along Chobe River in Botswana. If you want to see some animals, heard towards the water first thing in the morning and in the evening. I wonder what gossip they share while quenching their thirst.

I love all your animal photos:)
Thanks T.F!
Water – the essence of life? 🙂
For most of us 🙂
Good choice. That is where the meaning of a drink of water is so much more powerful.
The source of life and potential death. I’m glad my watering hole isn’t full of hippos and crocs.
Excellent shot for this camp of wilderness my friend ,Great entry for this week theme,
Thanks for sharing 🙂
Thanks Jake.
I like the pic with the brown birds and the hippos in the background.
That was pretty cool to see. Thanks!
Beautiful pictures as always. Thank you!
Thanks Beth Ann.
Sure!!!! Oh and the “son” is going to London and Manchester—pub ideas???? 🙂
Do you know what part of London his hotel is located? And I’m heading to Manchester next week so I might have some ideas…but it will be a fast trip so don’t bet on it just now. If he is in the Kensington area, I would recommend the Windsor Castle Pub. That has been my fave so far.
River situation that exist only in Africa 🙂
It was an honor to see.
Great photos!
Thanks Robyn.
The importance of water is illuminated perfectly here.
Thank you. I was amazed when I witnessed it.
Great photos of wildlife at the water hole!
Thanks Fergiemoto
The geese in front of the hippos is a superb shot when you click on it!
Thanks Gilly!
love the crocs just waiting
They terrify and fascinate me!
They do the same for me as well…as do sharks. One day I really want to swim with the sharks.
That would be fun, terrifying, and a once in a lifetime experience–at least I hope. I hope you do it and tell us all about it. You may even inspire me to do it.
Beautiful pictures! Makes me want to pick up my camera and take a walk to see what I can find. Although, here in the city I’m sure I won’t find anything quite as exotic LOL!
But there is so much to see and appreciate in cities. People are a wonderful source of entertainment and make great photos.
Water – the essence and foundation for all life.
Water – the basis for civilizations.
Water – the substance upon which communities were founded.
Excellent summary!
I love seeing these different species sharing the same water. At preferably different times. Nice photos.
Thanks…you really do get to see all walks of life at this water source.
Wonderful shots! Love the first one with the Hippos.
Hippos fascinate me. They are so large and deadly and yet so beautiful.
So cool…
Thanks Hook.
Look at that baby croc! When I came through Sydney airport a month ago, they had a picture of the largest croc in Australia, to scale, up on the wall. It was like the length of a bus.
That gave me goosebumps and I haven’t even seen the pictures.
Thank you for allowing me to share your Africa through your awesome photography. 🙂 What amazing pictures!
Africa was one of the most amazing experiences. Thanks for letting me share it with you.
