Travel Photo of the Day (June 19)

As many of you know, I love to travel.  One of my favorite parts of traveling is meeting new people.  When we were in Botswana we made some friends.  For two years we have kept in touch.  And two of our friends that we met are visiting us in London and they arrive today.  We have some sightseeing planned, which means I’ll be out of the “office” until Saturday.  I hope all of you have a wonderful week!  Since tomorrow is the first day of summer, I’m posting a flower from Honduras.

About TBM

TB Markinson is an American who's recently returned to the US after a seven-year stint in the UK and Ireland. When she isn't writing, she's traveling the world, watching sports on the telly, visiting pubs in New England, or reading. Not necessarily in that order. Her novels have hit Amazon bestseller lists for lesbian fiction and lesbian romance. She cohosts the Lesbians Who Write Podcast (lesbianswhowrite.com) with Clare Lydon. TB also runs I Heart Lesfic (iheartlesfic.com), a place for authors and fans of lesfic to come together to celebrate lesbian fiction.

Lovely flower. Do you know what the name is?

I don’t know that name, but Josmojo said in India they call it “The Flame of the Forest.” That seems fitting for this orange burst.

Love the photo! But isn’t tomorrow midsummer, even though it has been struggling to get into gear this year. It is the longest day today. A great opportunity to enjoy a long light evening and see A Midsummer Night’s Dream in an open air theatre.

We call this ‘The Flame of the Forest’ in India. In full bloom the entire tree is covered with these orange beauties looking like it is a flame among all the other trees covered in green foliage.
