I took this photo as we strolled through the Tiergarten, a large park in the center of Berlin. I enjoyed seeing the little ponds scattered throughout the park. It was a blistering hot day, and for a brief second I considered jumping in.

But what about all the froggies and critters that live in there?? That would have kept me from jumping in for sure!!!
The same thought crossed my mind, which was one of the reasons I didn’t.
Wonder if anyone ever did that? Jump into one of the ponds that is. It’s been a long, long time since I’ve been to the Tiergarten!!!
A dog did while I was there, but no people. I fell in love with the park!
Isn´t that the park where they have the huge angel statue?
Are you referring to the Siegessaule, the Victory Column, which has a statue of Victoria (the goddess of victory) on top? Then yes. I climbed to the top and saw great views of the garden and city.
Ooh, I´m not sure, but that sounds about right! I didn´t go up…..vertigo 😦
I understand…that would be difficult.
Beautiful photo and of course this is a famous garden – WWII . Loved Erik Larson;s book – In the Garden of Beasts.
I haven’t read that one, but I just added it to my list! Thanks!
Awesome! I’ve never seen that many lily pads before.
I was surprised by the amount of them.
Looks like there would be some big fish in there 🙂 Always fascinates me 🙂
Big fish and other creatures I don’t want to meet.
Water is so tempting when the day is hot–be it a fountain, sprinkler…
I know! I opted for ice cream though.
Amazing photo looks outstanding.
thanks!
Yup, a scenery like this would be very enticing to jump into on a hot day.
Now I wish I did!
