Aisla’s travel theme this week honors the UN’s International Day of Peace, which is today, September 21st. 2012’s theme is ‘Sustainable Peace for a Sustainable Future.’ To help celebrate this day, Aisla has suggested that we post photos featuring white since many people plan to wear white as a way of showing their support. I would like to thank Aisla for raising awareness for such an important day. I have traveled to many places that have been torn apart by wars and devastated by greed. Here’s to hoping for peace all across the world. For my photos, I have selected photos from Botswana and South Africa. This post will replace my normal travel photo of the day. Peace, I hope, can become a reality. Not just for us, but for future generations. This planet has given me so much joy and I want others to feel that way, especially the younger generations. I liked seeing it at night.
White really pops, especially in your photos. There was a garden in Charleston, SC when I visited that had all white blooms and at night it literally glowed. Fabulous.
