Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
Grab your current read
Open to a random page
Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teaser!
I haven’t posted any teasers lately, but I felt inspired this morning. Here’s mine from Cash by Johnny Cash.
When I was a boy on the farm in Arkansas, not very far from here, an oncoming storm meant that soon I could run from the toil in the fields to the magic in the house–turn on the radio, listen to the music made far away, let it take me where it pleased. Now I’m often content, more than content, to listen to the storm itself. pg. 203
I find that I feel this way more and more as I grow older.
Very cool teaser… even more so knowing who wrote it:)
He’s an interesting man that’s for sure and I love his music.
I really like that teaser and the sentiment in it. I’m currently on Dracula by Bram Stoker, so not the most thrilling of teasers to be had from there 🙂
I loved Dracula!
I am enjoying it, but it’s definitely of its time! This isn’t the first time I’ve read it, it’s just a little bit slow to start I find 🙂
Interesting teaser–I liked Johnny Cash.

Great teasers!
I like that – equating music to magic with how it takes you away. I feel that way about books too :).
I’ve explored many far away places via books…it’s one of the best gifts in this world.
Oh yes, that describes where I am right now. And I absolutely love music…
My better half is a music lover so we are always listening to something.
Very good. I love Johnny Cash. I feel the same as you, getting older makes you listen more to nature.
I find that I seek out quiet moments more and more. I used to blare my radio, now I prefer listening to the wind blow through the leaves.
Yes that’s how it is.
Have you seen the Johnie Cash movie. I think it was called “Walk the line” ?
I have seen it and loved it. I may have to watch it again when I finish his autobiography.
He certainly had an interesting life
Too interesting for my taste…I like calm in my life
Now that would be an interesting book. I liked the movie. I like Johnny Cash, but he sure had many struggles.
I’m going back and forth among some digital photography books right now, not necessarily novels or stories.
The book is difficult to read since I go back and forth on liking him. He had difficulties and he wasn’t always nice to those around him. Enjoy your books!
I love Johnny Cash’s lyrics and the passage you chose. I’ll have to check this book out too. TT looks like fun.
It is…you get to sample so many books.
