Cee has launched a new photo challenge this week. For the first week she wants us to share a couple of our favorite photos. The photos below are not my faves (I’m not good at following directions), but I selected them for a reason. When I first got my camera, back in 2007, I played around with it quite a bit. Before, I was never much of a photo taker. During my first few days I really enjoyed the macro function. Below you’ll find a couple of the first photos I took with my camera.

The water droplets are beautiful, TBM – and I can imagine why you love these first experiments with your new camera, I would too 🙂
It’s funny. I never used to take photos…now I can’t seem to stop
Isn’t that great – now you’ve got two new hobbies 🙂
These are lovely, lovely shots. I’m not sure which one I like better; they are both fantastic! What camera do you use?
Cannon Power shot. It’s getting older and it may be time to replace it.
Nice ones. I am not surprised you are proud of them.
Thanks Colline
I enjoy macro shots, and these are great! I especially like the second one with the drops of dew beginning to fall off.
It’s fun to explore with macro
Loved them 🙂
Thanks Nandini
these are great…and your first attempt…wow
My camera did all of the work—they make it easy for people like me.
Great capture of the droplets!
Thanks…that’s my favorite part of that photo
They are both just wonderful 🙂
thanks
Those are great photos. When I got my Nikon D80 in the first week I took my favorite shot of one of my pugs. There is something special about a new camera. Thanks so much for playing along.
They open up a whole new world. Thanks for hosting.
I love macros!
🙂
I did / am doing that too! I want to test my cameras abilities, and to me a big part of that is – how good is the macro setting? 🙂 Lovely shots. 🙂
I love it. Have fun!
Very cool! How nice to reminisce. I was looking at the first photos I took with my new DSLR a few years ago. It was winter, and there was frost that had formed on the windows. I took several closeup shots of frost! It’s amazing how pretty they are up close and personal.
I bet they turned out great. I love your photos!
I’m dying to get a macro lens and a telephoto lens and a prime lens and oh my… I can’t wait!!! Love the second shot.
LOL…I hope you get all of them!
I would love to be good enough to bother with something like this. The truth of the matter is, I am not patient enough!
Trust me, I’m not patient either. My camera does all the work.
Both are nice shots…but I like the second one best!
Thanks 🙂
I love macro shots. You framed the image well – beautifully captured.
Those are gorgeous photos TBM!!
I love how the water creates more meaning to the flower
Thanks Novroz.
