It started as an annoying sore throat and body aches. But I refused to get sick. I hate colds. I hate how they linger. So I kept going, refusing to be sick. Last Friday, on our way home from our walk, Miles and I got caught in a downpour. I think getting soaked pushed me over the edge. The better half made me a big pot of tomato soup for the next few days. It’s delicious. I wish you all well and I’ll be back in a few days. The couch, a blanket, and some soup are calling my name.
It could be worse

get well soon
Oh TBM, I totally know where you are coming from. Our entire house has been sick with a flu bug (high fever, chills, chest congestion) for a week now, and it is the worst we have had in years. My hubby got it first and he was off work for 4 days, and he never ever takes time off work!! Now Daniel and I have it, and we’re both staying home today. I was determined not to get it – I even slept in a separate room and followed my hubby around with a can of Lysol, but it didn’t work :(. I haven’t touched my blog since Thursday night. I hope you feel better really really soon. Take care :).
Feel better soon. I’m finally getting over my cold and I’m just like you. I hate being sick. This one got me good. Lots of rest and tea should hopefully do the trick.
Get well soon, great photo by the way.
Feel better!
Sometimes, no matter how strong our mind is, our body naturally fails us. I’m also nursing a severe backache. Can’t even sit for too long. Get well soon, TBM.
Take care!
Looks like Miles is right there with you.
Nothing will make you feel better than tomato soup and a grilled cheese sandwich for dunking. My all time favorite comfort food.
Feel better soon!
I hope you get well very soon!
Get well soon … and don’t forget the hot toddy!
Well, can’t very well like that, now can I?
Feel better soon!
Hope you feel better soon!
Sweet photo. Sorry to hear you’re sick. Keep drinking fluids and get lots of rest. I hear cherry juice can reduce the length of a cold, for what it’s worth. Take good care.
Wishing you feel better soon! xo
Sorry to hear you are sick. I hate the cold and flu too.
Hope you feel better soon.
Add a good book to that mix. Reading is great medicine.
Get well soon *hugs*
Stay warm, eat lots of soup, and hope you feel better very soon.
I’m so sorry you’re feeling sick, but all of that does sound very wonderful! Tomato soup, couch, books, blanket…aaah, nice…. Get well soon!!!!! 🙂
Look at the cuteness on Miles – he looks like he needs a duvet day as well. I usually catch a cold right at the start of a holiday or when I finish work for Christmas.
Enjoy your soup and get well soon.
Lynn 😀
I know Miles will take good care of you! Get well soon!
Oh dear, hope you have a speedy recovery.
With the Better Half and Miles, I know you are in good hands/paws. Wishing a speedy recovery!
Get Well Soon!!! You are correct, you can’t get sick, no time for sick. Miles needs his play time. Again, rest up, plenty of fluids. Get Well Soon!!
Sorry to hear it. Get well soon. Miles’ face… Priceless. He does NOT like being indoors.
bad news – do hope you´re feeling better soon!
Mortality sucks… Get well soon!
I am s ame too dear TBM from yesterday…. Get well soon. Love, nia
Hope you’re feeling better pretty soon! colds are hateful. 🙂
Get well soon, TBM ….have lots of rest
I did the same thing. So annoying! I have had a lingering cough for weeks. Love Miles state of relaxation. Get better really soon!
Hope you feel better soon. Looks like you have a good Nurse Dog.
Tomato soup sounds perfect if you’re under the weather. Here’s to getting well, dear. 🙂
I hope you feel better by now. I too don’t like to be sick. I feel helpless although my wife’s delicious chicken and rice soup makes me say, “Being sick seems not so bad after all.” Hmm…have a fun day!
