Sunday Post: Wonderful

I’ve been fortunate to have traveled to many wonderful places. However, as much as I would like to, I can’t travel nonstop. This doesn’t mean that when I’m at home I’m unhappy. Quite the opposite actually. Oddly enough, I’m also a person who loves to be at home as well. Each day I try to appreciate the beauty that surrounds me, wherever I am. Last Friday on my walk through my neighborhood the autumn weather was fantastic. The sun was shining, there was a slight breeze, and a chill in the air. This is the weather that I love. I stopped on several occasions to gaze at all the wonder around me.

When I am struggling to NOT think about gloomy things, I read this blog and try to focus on the positive things around me too. Thanks for this post & the encouragement it brings. Slightly cheered!

I love the weather at this time of year. The picture of the tree with the sun shining through is really lovely and also a bit spooky – it looks almost like it has hands.

Oh how I love it when people can find wonder in the place they live and not only long for far away places…and then share the love around

Home is a wonderful anchor with frequent travel. I used to travel a LOT with my previous job and for many years. It was always good to come home no matter where I traveled to or how fascinating it was. With my current health issues, I am reliant on others to get out of the house. It’s quite a change, so I have found ways to appreciate and capture the beauty at home.
Glad you have found that appreciation also! Nice photos, TBM!

  17. I hear you. I’m a home body. I am quite happy pottering around. I know what you mean by the beauty around where you are, sometimes I need to just walk to the beach and realise how beautiful my suburb is!
