I’ve been fortunate to have traveled to many wonderful places. However, as much as I would like to, I can’t travel nonstop. This doesn’t mean that when I’m at home I’m unhappy. Quite the opposite actually. Oddly enough, I’m also a person who loves to be at home as well. Each day I try to appreciate the beauty that surrounds me, wherever I am. Last Friday on my walk through my neighborhood the autumn weather was fantastic. The sun was shining, there was a slight breeze, and a chill in the air. This is the weather that I love. I stopped on several occasions to gaze at all the wonder around me.

My sentiments exactly! Have a great day 🙂
Appreciating the beauty around us cannot be over-emphasized. It is such an important thing to do. I think it leads to greater contentment and appreciation for all the blessings we have. I hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend!
Our weekend was great Carl, thanks! I hope you enjoyed yours.
I also love to travel but there is no place like home!!! Totally agree!!! Loved the pictures today!
I think the chill in the autumn air is wonderful. Nice photos.
When I am struggling to NOT think about gloomy things, I read this blog and try to focus on the positive things around me too. Thanks for this post & the encouragement it brings. Slightly cheered!
Thanks…I’ll do my best to keep cheering you up.
I love the weather at this time of year. The picture of the tree with the sun shining through is really lovely and also a bit spooky – it looks almost like it has hands.
I’m glad you chose England!
I feel very much the same way. I love our neighborhood, with all it’s lakes and walking paths and wild life…
I try to get the best out of every day, too, though sometimes the weather drags me down.
Great post! So true that traveling is wonderful but it is always great to be at home too enjoying your life and surroundings.
Wonderful photos! Love the last one the best.
lovely looking day there. thanks for taking us all along on your walk 🙂
The last pic is spectacular!
Although I dont travel much but I understand how you fell about enjoying the home
I’m the same way. Love to travel, but love being home too. Great shots!
Oh how I love it when people can find wonder in the place they live and not only long for far away places…and then share the love around
Home is a wonderful anchor with frequent travel. I used to travel a LOT with my previous job and for many years. It was always good to come home no matter where I traveled to or how fascinating it was. With my current health issues, I am reliant on others to get out of the house. It’s quite a change, so I have found ways to appreciate and capture the beauty at home.
Glad you have found that appreciation also! Nice photos, TBM!
Thanks Fergiemoto…I wish you well and happy adventures in and out of the home. Take care of your health.
I hear you. I’m a home body. I am quite happy pottering around. I know what you mean by the beauty around where you are, sometimes I need to just walk to the beach and realise how beautiful my suburb is!
You are fortunate to live amidst such beauty! Wonderful shots TBM!
