Travel Photos Update

I have a confession. I am woefully unprepared for December. Christmas cards are not sent because I haven’t written them yet. I did purchase the stamps yesterday though. Presents—I probably should do something about that. Decorations, well we don’t put many up since Atticus and Miles destroy them during the night so I don’t have to worry about that. Then there’s work. Pub visits. Spending time with friends and loved ones. Basically I want to say that my daily travel photos will reappear after January 1st. Please forgive me. Even though the holidays happen the same time every year, I can never manage to get my act together. Maybe that should be a New Year’s Resolution.

About TBM

TB Markinson is an American who's recently returned to the US after a seven-year stint in the UK and Ireland. When she isn't writing, she's traveling the world, watching sports on the telly, visiting pubs in New England, or reading. Not necessarily in that order. Her novels have hit Amazon bestseller lists for lesbian fiction and lesbian romance. She cohosts the Lesbians Who Write Podcast (lesbianswhowrite.com) with Clare Lydon. TB also runs I Heart Lesfic (iheartlesfic.com), a place for authors and fans of lesfic to come together to celebrate lesbian fiction.

You are not the only one. I’ve bought a few small gifts but nothing major. I can’t be excited. Maybe because this the first year that my mother is not with us.

  6. Shutterbug Sage says:

Send New Year’s cards instead of Christmas cards. One less thing to deal with before Dec 25th and you will stand out from the rest when your card arrives after the masses. Or at least that’s what I keep telling myself. 😉

  13. Spending time with friends and loved ones is the most important – we´ll still be here when you get back. Have a wonderful Christmas!

  14. take my lazy tree hugger stance that I’ve used for years now, say it low and slow “cards are like bad for the environment maaaan, they destroy trees and stuff” With this simple phrase I have managed to avoid the agony of any card purchases christmas or otherwise and if people still insist on giving me cards I thank them and apologise for my stance while still sticking to it.

It’s interesting how you guys still sending cards for Christmas and New year. Indonesian people are too lazy to send cards now, we just text our friends and say happy new year.

I am lucky this time…C. insisted I have as much X-mas spirit as the Grinch, so he made me work hard on x-mas decorations and postcards—-Everything has been done and sent…
    Anyway!!!! …I DO understand you…

We will read you back next year!

We are almost done now. Almost time to sit back and enjoy our time together–that’s my favorite part. I wish you and your family a wonderful holiday!

  21. Take the time to relax and enjoy the holiday. Blogging is fun, but it shouldn’t instill so much guilt that it takes the pleasure from your celebration. Merry Christmas!
