It’s been chilly and snowy in London. So I’ve been daydreaming about the Caribbean. Photo taken in the Dominican Republic at sunset.

Wonderful pinky sky and lovely wind… I can imagine too now 🙂 Thank you dear TBM, love, nia
I’m glad that you enjoyed it Nia.
I’m in!! Book me a ticket :).
For one or two?
How many pages of notes do you have to leave for Mike to run the dishwasher?
Oh, do you think we should let Mikey come too?? He is a lot of fun :). Taking a trip to somewhere warm is sounding even better this morning by the way. We are under a snow squall warning again this morning and the windchill is in the minus 20’s. Brrrrr!! Now they have cancelled the school buses, so my lucky brat of a kid gets to stay home while Mike and I go to work because the highways are still open :(.
Not sure you are supposed to call your son a brat. Yup I checked with Miles and he said that’s a no go. You must return home immediately and apologize. Drive safe and stay warm. And yes Mike can come. Someone has to keep the better half entertained so we can read.
Ahhh, reading on the beach sounds so wonderful!! And as for the brat, tell Miles not to worry. It’s just a pet name, and Daniel is totally used to it. You should see what I call him when he’s in trouble LOL!!
We have some nicknames for Miles as well. I think he’s starting to catch on and gives me a look when I say, “Hey, turd bird, come here.”
Hard to believe that Daniel gets in trouble. I’m on his side. Poor guy has to read three pages of instructions to run the washing machine.
LOL!!! Turd bird – that’s awesome :). As far as Daniel is concerned, of course he gets in trouble. He is a male after all! By the way, I found the laundry notes, and there are actually only two pages of notes (typed no less). You have to keep in mind that we had just purchased a front load washing machine at the time, so it was a little different to operate LOL! The notes are good for a laugh though because I even gave colour sorting instructions and told them what to put in the dryer and what to hang on the rack :). If my memory serves me correctly, they never wrecked anything while I was gone, so I guess my notes worked!
See I don’t have a rack. I air dry by clothes by hanging them over things: doors, chairs, shelves. you have to use the correct space with lighter colored clothes. Still trying to get this across at home.
Is that your own personal form of decorating?? LOL
Yes and don’t forget the empty beer cans. that totally adds a classy touch.
You always have an awesome comeback!! Now I can’t stop laughing :). Laundry and beer cans – that’s great!
Oh, and chocolate wrappers!
By the way, can I stay home today and read? It has warmed up a bit, but it’s still -18, and I don’t want to go outside :(. And speaking of reading, I have been meaning to ask you if you are on Goodreads? If you are, I would love to add you as a friend :).
Yes, I recently started using goodreads–still pretty new and not sure I get all the ins and outs. Search for my name, T. B. Markinson or is it easier with my email, 50yearproject@gmail.com. And if you have any pointers about the site let me know.
Nice! It helps me warm up, too!
I’m glad 🙂
Good thoughts to keep yourself warm.
And I need to stay warm–pretty cold here. I bet you are experience some chilly temps as well.
Right now is very cold … and one more day before it breaks.
Stay warm!
Balmy and breezy. Islands captivate. hugs…for the reminder. 🙂
Yes–tropical islands are magical.
That makes me a magician. ha, ha.
Looks a bit breezy.
Anyway, I thought you wanted snow?
It as breezy, but still nice that night. I do love the snow, but I still like to day dream about lazing about on a warm beach, sipping tropical drinks, reading a good book, and listening to the waves. I hope Master B is coping with all the snow and cold. Atticus won’t step outside at all.
I love the picture 🙂
Thanks
Now I’m day dreaming of there too!!!
Yes…the more the merrier!
lovely. How are you coping with all the snow we hear is falling and the cold ?
Not too much snow has fallen in London. Enough to have a feel of it, but don’t have to deal with icy pavement and roads. At least where I am. I love cold weather, however, my flat is always freezing as well so I don’t feel like I get a break from the cold. That makes it more difficult. Miles loves to play in the snow, but hates the cold. My little guy is getting older.
Awwww poor Miles. The older I get the less I like extremes so tell him he has company.
I hate to admit it, so am I. I love seeing the snow and such, but I feel the cold more each year. same with the heat in the summer. I need moderate temps and conditions to be perfectly happy.
That looks a whole lot better than winter!
It is warmer, that’s for sure. And I love the smell on the beach when there’s a breeze. Reminds me of my childhood.
looks a little blowy there, but warmer than london i am sure!
It was windy that night, but I was still in shorts and a T shirt during dinner. Much warmer than London right now, but the snow here is beautiful. Adds a different feel to the city.
Soft sky and gentle breeze, yes I have a similar warm dream.
May it come true for you.
So pretty! It’s cold here, too, and I hate it.
Lovely pink sky – unlike here!
Lynn 😀
What a great dream…
