Yesterday I was working on a craft project using beer labels we’ve collected from our travels. I noticed I didn’t have any from Africa and said we have to go back. I show a lot of photos of animals from Africa, but the landscape and sunsets wowed me just as much. Photo taken in Zambia.

Beautiful and peaceful photo. Are you going to show us your beer label craft? I would love to see it :).
I might–not complete yet and looks a little unorganized. Shocking I know 🙂
LOL!!!!
Is this taken at a resort with the down branches placed strategically for folks to sit? Or is it the wilds?
It wasn’t at a resort but where we congregated to do activities such as elephant rides and lion walks. From what I saw a lot of trees were down at the different places we went–maybe from the rainy season? Or the lack of water during droughts. I never thought to ask. Another reason to go back.
Of course! What could be a better reason for a long trip to a foreign land?
I love your attitude.
I can’t complete my project unless I get more beer labels. I’m so glad you understand and support my logic 🙂 And now I’m six hours closer–I’ve cut out the flight from Boston to London. Even better.
You need to go back for labels–too funny. Interesting landscape, quite a juxtaposition of foliage in this small space.
Yes only for labels 🙂
“A craft project using beer labels”? Hmmmm.
We’ll see if it works out.
Or maybe you’ll find you don’t have quite enough….
Then off to the pub!
Wow is right. I need to know about the beer labels craft, though!
I’ll share when it starts to come together.
Oh good!!!
I love your dedication…more beer please!
Yes–more!
Such a gorgeous place.
I loved it there–every minute.
This looks beautiful! The beer project sounds interesting too 🙂
It’s a fun project since I keep remembering fun times from all over.
Remembered Alice In Wonderland after seeing this picture… Nice one TBM. Where is this place located?
We were in Zambia, near Victoria Falls.
Zambia? cool… How do you manage to visit such exotic places TBM?
We’ve been lucky and we saved for years to go on the trip.
Very serene. Thank you.
I love the photo! 🙂
this photo is so very beautiful. i’ve stared at it for 10 minutes and wish it was on hanging on my wall.
I hope you get a chance to see it in person.
Southern Africa sunrises and sunsets are special. I experience some different ones here in NZ.
I was blown away when I saw them during my visit. So beautiful.
They really are stunning!
That’s definitely a good excuse to go back to Africa! Great photo of the sunset!
I like this project. It sounds like my kind of thing. We have a habit of taking a picture with a glass of something nice usually when we’re sat overlooking a sunset of near the sea! It’s a dirty job, but someone has to do it. My most recent project is to take a picture of my feet – then see if Paul can remember where we were – mainly it’s just to annoy him because he thinks my feet are hideous and should be kept hidden! Rude!! But sort of funny…
Lynn 😀
What happens if Paul can’t remember where the photo was taken. Does he have to give you a foot massage?
No way!
First I’m too ticklish, and, second, did I mention Paul thinks my feet should be kept under wraps?
Lynn 😀
I have extremely ticklish feet as well! I feel like I need to see a photo of your feet 😉
