Hello everyone! I hope all of you have a wonderful Easter and a fantastic weekend. We returned to London late last night and I’m slowly getting caught up on work and blogs. Below you’ll find some photos from our recent trip. Can anyone guess where we went?
Where was I?

To a pub? haha. I haven’t followed your blog from the beginning but I have now. So where are you originally from? How far are you into completion of your 50 year project?
I’m only two years into the project so you haven’t missed much 🙂 I’ve been to under 20 countries (some of those were visited before the official launch of 50 Year), under 100 books, and I’ve seen around 30 of the movies. I’m from the US. I’ve lived in California, Colorado, and Massachusetts. Now I live in London, England. The better half was transferred for work about two years ago.
Okay. I’m from Wolverhampton, so London’s just 1/2 hours away. All the best anyway with your project. Keep us updated!
I haven’t visited Wolverhampton yet. I saw Wolverhampton play against Fulham though last year. I’ll do my best to keep all of you updated.
Well, clearly Portugal. 🙂 You are just fooling us with these pictures that look like Holland.
I wish I was that clever.
Amsterdam!!!! Am I right, am I right??? I was there!! Did you go to the red light district LOL!!
Um, what was up with last week’s mystery photo. Too hard!
I know :). I’ve promised LouAnn an easy one this week so she doesn’t cry LOL!
I looked at it this morning and was scratching my head. I keep trying to think of photos to take for mystery Fridays but can never come up with something that is difficult but still guessable. Is that a word?
Checked dictionary.com – yup, it’s a word. LOL!!
I want the outfit in the last picture.
Dang I wish I knew that!
Amsterdam! Luunbransburg is quite famous…:) Hope you had a great time!!!
Sorry…I mispelled the place…(Sigh and Neo were asking for food…:)…So…I was saying Lunbraansburg….
Well Sigh and Neo are right, food comes first. Att and Miles remind me of this all of the time.
Hmmmm— looks lovely and I cheated by reading the comments! Welcome back!!!!
No worries, I cheat all the time 🙂
HeeHee!
Hope you had a wonderful time on your trip to the Netherlands. Lovely pictures. 🙂
We did. Thanks Susi.
I had to peek too—-:-)
No worries. I encourage teamwork.
Yeah! You went to Amsterdam. I think that’s the Sengal Canal … and the hotel we stayed may be in the pic!
That’s pretty cool!
Welcome Back. I was beginning to miss you and was wondering if I had “un-followed” you or something by mistake. I am still very new to blogging you see. Thank Heavens nothing like that happened.
Looking forward to your posts.
Oh thanks for the kind words. We are back. It’s nice to get away and it’s great to come home. Hopefully I’ll get back into the swing of things soon and can share about my trip.
is this like mystery photo — I am guessing it was not British Columbia or Cuba
You would be correct. Any other guesses?
do I get chocolate if I get it right – or Dutch chocolate
Cuban chocolate cigars. Oh wait, I’m American. Are those legal for me to buy?
only if you are in Canada
Guess I’ll have to visit Canada to get your chocolate.
Love Amsterdam! Show us more…
Will do Ruth.
That last photo is a dead giveaway. 🙂 I’ve been to Amsterdam and thought it was beautiful. Now I want to see all the tulips at the Keukenhof gardens. My list just keeps growing.
We skipped going to Keukenhof gardens since we had heard not many tulips had bloomed due to the cold winter. I was slightly bummed about that since that was one of the reasons I planned this trip during the spring. Oh well, next time.
That is a bummer. Weather is so tricky when you’re in Europe, unless it’s summer.
At least we are close to Amsterdam. Who knows next spring might arrive early or at all. Not sure about this spring.
The Anne Frank annex! I went there 2 years ago… so incredibly surreal!
It was quite the experience. I experienced many emotions while visiting.
Beautiful Amsterdam..lots of good food, good drink. great art…and…well…the rest is up to you!
There is much to choose from 😉
Well, the consensus here seems to be Amsterdam so I’m just going to cheat and go with the flow. After all, at least if it’s wrong I’ll be in plenty of good company.
Lynn 😀
I cheat with these types of questions as well.
Hope you had a great time! Welcome back!
I was there on a business trip a few years back.
I’ve never had to travel for business. I used to think I would like it, but now I’m not so sure.
Nice photos! I can see you’re having a great time:-)
It was a wonderful weekend. thanks
You had me. The beer made me think of Germany, but the clothing didn’t seem right, I read the comments, and then noticed the shoes on the animal.
I thought the shoes would be a helpful clue 😉
great pictures as always. i’m glad you had a wonderful weekend!
Thanks!
I’m guessing somewhere cool?
Amsterdam is pretty damn cool.
So where was this? I was guessing Germany & I saw that someone had guessed it too. Is it? Is it?
Amsterdam actually. But I can see why some might think Germany. Europe has so many wonderful cities to explore!
I do wish to wander the streets of the Europe countries someday. For now, I will view them through your fantastic travels. 😉
I hope you can!
