I spied these characters in Amsterdam and tried to snap a photo without being noticed. I think I failed and made a hasty retreat.

Run … the look mean…
I didn’t get a good vibe so I skedaddled immediately
I often try to take photos like these of the old boys in my village but it’s tricky!
I understand. Would love to see them if you succeed.
Ooooh, look out, they’re coming to get you now!! LOL
I know!
I’m not good at being inconspicuous when taking photographs, that’s why I rarely do street photography. Maybe someday.
(I wonder if these characters had just been in one of the “coffeeshops.”)
They may have. I didn’t ask any questions 🙂 Street photography is difficult. I always want them to look natural but I have a habit of getting caught.
Colorful characters!!
Yes. I love taking these types of photos. Just hard because I always get caught.
Yep, the guy with the goatee beard has definitely made you!
Lynn 😀
And he didn’t look happy
Well at least I can say with some degree of certainty that I haven’t met these particular ‘characters’ yet 😉 I’m taking that as a win!
Hey that’s good for you! I’m still giggling about, “John likes you.”
Sadly I am not – it scares me he’s out there somewhere lol if you don’t hear from me in a couple of months tell them John has got me!!
Maybe you should carry a card that says, “John got me.” and you can leave clues like bread crumbs.
Its certainly worth considering!
Although. … I may have to carry a few cards given that I bump into weirdos rather often!
You might want to order the cards in bulk.
I have always wanted to go to Amsterdam….Is it great? What did you like about it?
We only spent 3 days there, but from what I saw, I love it. It has a feel of its own: the canals, history, art, the freedoms, and the attitude of acceptance. I found it to be a very welcoming carefree place to visit. Not a lot of stress, except when crossing the street. Bike riders will run you over!
At least they didn’t chase you!
Good thing! I’m the type that freezes.
That would not be good!
It has caused problems in the past 😉
Hahaha “you think” you failed? You failed, sister! Look at that man! Not that they would do anything, would they?
I didn’t stay to find out!
Hahaha!!! 😀
I would have retreated too!
I think you are a pro at determining human behavior Hook.
What makes you interested with them?
They look like interesting character. I’ve been trying to take more portraits of the locals from places.
Be careful…maybe they are Mafia 😉
Now I’ll be looking over my shoulder
