Isobel and Gilly have a petition on their blog to help save the orangutans in Indonesia. A local Governor wants to cut down a significant portion of Indonesia’s untouched forests, threatening the lives and survival of the orangutans in the country. Please stop by the site and sign the petition. I recently returned from a trip to Malaysia and was fortunate enough to see orangutans in the wild and at the sanctuary in Sepilok. I want everyone to have that opportunity.
Please help the Orangutans

After visiting Borneo and understanding the situation I simply can’t ignore this!
I know how you feel Anna. How horrible and I hope we can stop it. Thanks!

while others including you care enough for them. Thank you.
Traveling and blogging have opened my eyes to many problems all over the world and I want to do my best to help raise awareness. I hope this helps.

It’s a shame that money has such power in this world. I hope all of us voice our opinions and put a stop to this.
Indeed TBM, in my country money can talk 😦
Unfortunately money talks in most countries. I’ve seen the devastation it causes all over, including in my country (US).
Awwww, I love baby monkeys :). Going to sign right now!
Thanks! This baby was killing me. “Gimme gimme gimme!”
I imagine the recent trip personalized the importance. Worthy promo!
Very much so. I marveled over seeing them.
And I’m sure you’ll be sharing more in time!
You can count on it 🙂
Wonderful share, buddy.

I forwarded it on to friends that I knew would sign too
Excellent! The more the better.
signed!
Thanks!
There won’t be any more forests (and the resulting wildlife) left if they keep cutting them down. That would be devastating!
I agree and I would hate to live in a world that does that.
I signed and shared several days ago on FB – everyone should do 🙂
I agree. they are wonderful creatures and all the animals, birds, insects, reptiles, and much more deserve a home.
Wasn’t Sepilok incredible? and just look at that baby!
Wouldn’t it be great if the blogging world could help to change things? I’ve posted again with more photos 🙂
Sepilok was incredible. And I wish them continued success. And that reminds me, I promised I would adopt an orangutan–I need to do that today.
I’ll be stopping by after this.
Thanks
Lynn 😀
Thanks Lynn. all of us can do our part.
Done and done! Thanks for raising awareness about this. I would never have known.
I appreciate the bloggers who brought it to my attention. Thanks Stephen.
Thanks for sharing this. There are so many selfish and greedy politicians and people out there who don’t care about Earth, its creatures or the future of our children’s generation. Yes, we should all work to put a stop into the continuing abuse against nature and animals.
I agree with all you said. Greedy and selfish people are destroying this wonderful place, Earth. Thanks for mention on twitter. Hopefully all of us can put a stop to this insanity.

let’s save orangutans
Thanks! We all can help.
Oh! I haven’t heard about this plan yet…well at least not in the news.
It’s a shame if the government really do that…one thing I hate about my country is the useless and corrupted government 😦
The more I travel the more I discover how many people are frustrated with their governments. Why can’t they listen to the people, animals, and land and not just business?
Thanks for posting this, they are definitely awesome creatures. We love to hang out with them whenever we go to the zoo. I imagine it’s even more awesome in their natural habitat.
The San Diego Zoo? I love that place. Brings back fond memories from my childhood.
we will definitely sign the petition and forward it on to families and friends. tragic these things.
Thanks. And i hope they listen to all of us.
