Before we left for our trip spring started to make an appearance. When I returned this week I was stunned by the change in Brompton Cemetery, where Miles and I walk a couple times a week. I think it’s safe to say that spring has sprung in London and I almost missed it.
I love this tree
See the little guy?
I’ll sit, but I won’t smile
If you can’t see the no dogs sign is Miles breaking the rule?
Dr. John Snow, one of the fathers of modern epidemiology, is buried here.

you have captured spring delightfully (I must be getting old using the word delightful!)
Nothing wrong with the word delightful. I use it all the time. of course some think I’m an old fuddy duddy. Oh well, I like the word.
if you are a fuddy duddy then I am in excellent company! I would never think of you as a fuddy duddy (though I have to admit, I do like the words)
Oh I’m a fuddy duddy and I’m proud of it. I love sweater vests and cozy, warm pants. When I read, I curl up on the couch with a cup of tea and on cold days a hot water bottle and flannel blanket. I say things like “Gee whiz!” However, I should admit I know naughty words and use them sometimes as well.
sounds like me–
Don’t worry, I won’t call you a fuddy duddy. You’re neato in my book.
as you are in mine!
š
wonderful photographs….
thanks
This is definitely proof that spring has sprung… wonderful photos…
Thanks bulldog
It makes me feel good to see all this springiness!
It does my heart good. hard not to feel cheerful surrounded by all this.
Happy Spring! Thank you for visiting and the like of my post “Internal Cover Up”.
š
Such gentle colours. I think you missed the sunshine. Hopefully, it will be back soon.
I took Miles for a long walk yesterday morning and the sky was blue–too bad it didn’t last.
Beautiful pictures.
Lynn š
Thanks Lynn
Someting lovely to returm to then š TBM
Very delicate . Bet Miles did somersaults !
Miles was thrilled. It took our cat longer to get over his grudge when we got home and he can hold a grudge. I love cats.
They DO have a way of making it clear how they feel !
Very true. Att tells me daily how I’m disappointing him, usually around his feeding times.
welcome back. beautiful pictures.
thank you. It’s nice to be home.
Yayyyy Spring!! It’s about time :).
Now I just want warm weather. And blue sky
Beautiful spring photos! Glad spring finally arrived for you.
Spring finally arrived, and then summer. We had a day this week that broke the record high (93F degrees), and then the next day tied the record high. Now it’s getting back down to cooler weather. Such a roller coaster.
I used to spend parts of my summer in Salt Lake and I remember the heat. Boy it was hot there. I hope the weather levels out for you soon.
Everything looks so pretty!
It really made me smile when I turned the corner and saw all the splendor.
As usual TBM you are awesome
thank you
Beautiful! Spring is so late here in MN. Nothing has bloomed yet and the trees are finally getting full. It is a month to six weeks behind. Can’t wait for our lovely flowers!
I do hope you share when they arrive. I’ve never been to MN and I love seeing your photos from there. Of course it spurs the travel bug in me.
I think people don’t know how incredibly beautiful it is here and how awesome Minneapolis is. Most just think of the cold but it really is an awesome place to live! Plus if you head north towards Canada, there are the boundary waters canoe and wilderness area which is completely untouched by man and sensational. š If you and your wife ever make it to MN, of course I’d show you around! š
I’ll take you up on that offer if we do make it over. It sounds and looks like a wonderful place to explore.
Cheers to your return to blooms!
It looks so lush and green.
I’m sure little Miles is happy to have you back. š
Ah poor Miles and Att. They hate when we go out of town and I always feel so guilty.
Talk about rest in peace – this cemetery is lovely. It looks very natural with the foliage, rather than tightly manicured the way most cemeteries are kept. And they don’t mind dogs!
Even though Miles won’t smile for the camera, he does always give the camera his good side. š
I love this cemetery. they only have the staff to maintain 25% of it at a time so they slowly work through it and trim. Most of the time it’s overgrown and I like the look. Dogs are allowed on the side where they don’t hold funerals. It you take your dog on the wrong side you can get a ticket.
I love it when Miles makes an appearance. The flowers aren’t too bad either š
