About TBM
TB Markinson is an American who's recently returned to the US after a seven-year stint in the UK and Ireland. When she isn't writing, she's traveling the world, watching sports on the telly, visiting pubs in New England, or reading. Not necessarily in that order.
Her novels have hit Amazon bestseller lists for lesbian fiction and lesbian romance.
She cohosts the Lesbians Who Write Podcast (lesbianswhowrite.com) with Clare Lydon. TB also runs I Heart Lesfic (iheartlesfic.com), a place for authors and fans of lesfic to come together to celebrate lesbian fiction.
My very first proper grown up full time job was taking international phone reservations for a very posh hotel chain that had a hotel in Kota Kinabalu – I always imagined it would look exactly like this so it’s great to see a photo! I can still only dream about going there though 😦
How funny! I wonder what the hotel name was–I know it wasn’t the one we stayed at 🙂 Luckily for us, we know people in Malaysia so it made traveling there a lot more reasonable. And it was nice to have people who speak the language and they ordered the best food and knew all the best restaurants.
Sounds like the best way to travel – with locals! It was the Hyatt chain I worked for, but the hotel may well be owned by another one now…
Locals do know the ins and outs of a place. However, if people visit me in London, I hope they are prepared to be in and out of the pubs 🙂
Quite Beautiful! I believe you’ve captured the rays of the sun and it’s reflection admirably! The clouds provide for just enough perspective. Excellent Photo! Cheers!
thank you very much.
Beautiful!
thanks!
That’s the sort of scene that requires a long cool drink! Just to make it totally perfect of course!
Lynn 😀
We did have a pitcher of beer on ice to enjoy the scenery.

Lovely photo… looks like a pathway to the skies…
That’s a nice thought.
It’s always been my dream to live close to the sea. Today, I get to imagine that in my mind. Beautiful!
I do miss the ocean. I’ve lived near the Atlantic Ocean and the Pacific.
Nice! Let there be light!
And it was hot. good thing we had cold beer.
That’s beautiful! I like the reflection on the water.
thank you.
So beautiful! I love the way the lights gets reflected off the water.
It was a wonderful afternoon sitting there watching the water.
