A Tired, But Happy Dog

We took Miles to the park early this morning for a rip-roaring game of fetch. I think he liked it, but is exhausted.

Can we do that every morning?

Can we do that every morning?

Time for a nap.

Time for a nap.

  1. Oh Miles, your expressions make me laugh πŸ™‚

  2. vinnieh says:

What a great photo of a lovely dog.

  3. Oh my, finally a glimpse of the famous Miles πŸ™‚

  4. Frank says:

That a way Dad! You continue to remember the ball after the pub banishment!

  5. The Hook says:

    Sleep well, Miles.

  6. These made me giggle. The second one looks like he’s saying, “What you you mean we can’t go back until tomorrow?!?! I want to go now! Oh wait, maybe I’ll have a little nap first :).”

    • TBM says:

I thought I was going to have to carry him home. He will chase a ball until he passes out from exhaustion. Not that I’ve ever let it get that far.

  7. Caroline says:

He has such an expressive face, makes me laugh every time.

  8. That is a fun start to the day, for parent and pup.

  9. bulldog says:

Why can’t we be like them… run around .. then lie down and snooze…

  10. adinparadise says:

Oh, he has the cutest face. πŸ™‚

  11. Lynne Ayers says:

Don’t see many Boston Terriers any more – my grandparents had one when I as very young, named Danny … this photo took me back.

    • TBM says:

Bostons are wonderful dogs. Not sure I can ever have a different breed now.

      • Lynne Ayers says:

ah, I’m stuck on Labs myself.

      • TBM says:

Labs are great, but since we live in a flat we just can’t have a big dog.

      • Lynne Ayers says:

Yes, a lab would be quite disruptive, it’s the tail. πŸ™‚ Our Cooper is tall enough to survey the dining table, but happily well mannered enough not to touch. And we have a yard, several acres of field and a woods for him to play in.

      • TBM says:

The yard is key. I feel bad that Miles doesn’t have a yard. we take him on walks all the time and he loves to go to the park, but I know he would love a yard. Cooper–I love that name!

  12. Carol says:

    He’s too cute!

  13. wolke205 says:

    What a smile πŸ˜€

  14. Made me laugh with these photos! Miles is just so stinkin’ cute. πŸ™‚

  17. Letizia says:

“and Miles to go before I sleep. And Miles to go before I sleep” – this post puts a twist on Frost’s famous poem πŸ˜€

  18. Vishy says:

Love both the pictures of Mies, TBM! Loved the second picture a little bit more πŸ™‚

  19. pattisj says:

It’s good to see Miles. I’ve been missing him.

    • TBM says:

I realized the other day I hadn’t posted any recent photos. I’m trying to get some of Att, but he’s a difficult subject to take photos off.

  20. poppytump says:

Oh his face … Miles is such a comic without realising it TBM ..

  21. Love that face.. πŸ˜€

  22. Fetching is hard work. Just ask Reggie. He won’t chase after anything at all – ball, frisbee, stick. I took him to the park this morning and he spent the time sniffing under a tree. I say, hey if that’s what you want to do, go for it! πŸ™‚

    • TBM says:

Oh I wish Miles would be like that. He loves constant motion. Even when he’s tired, he won’t stop. I have to stop the game and he hates that. Give Reggie a pet for me. And I hope the sniffs were good this morning, Reggie.

  23. niasunset says:

so lovely, Blessing him. Thanks and Love, nia

  24. Fergiemoto says:

Poor Miles. Hope he gets a lot of rest and recuperation.
    Have a great weekend!

  25. The Guat says:

I love the first picture πŸ™‚

    • TBM says:

he has a lot of personality. Right now he’s grumpy as can be. He wants to sleep, but the trash guys are keeping him awake. It’s tough being Miles. But he did go to the park first thing this morning.
