  2. One of my friends insists that the squirrels in Cherry Tree Woods (Near Highgate Woods) are so spoilt nowadays that won’t make an effort for anything less than cashew nuts.

  3. Grace says:

    Aww… he’s adorable!

  4. Did you mention cashews?

  5. Fergiemoto says:

    Awww…that’s just adorable!
We have a squirrel that lives in the trees in our yard and will come bouncing over excitedly for peanuts when we hold them up for him to see.
I also found out a few weeks ago that another resident in our yard is a flying squirrel. It’s the one that has been making a lot of commotion at our bird feeders at night, as they are nocturnal. Boy, those things can sure jump far! They can jump/fly right onto the feeders, effortlessly, that the regular squirrels cannot get to.

I used to have a little squirrel in my back garden that would take nuts from you and that would almost come to the back door to seek you out. I think acquiring two terriers probably made him leave home though!

How cute and yes, the terriers probably encouraged him to find a more suitable home. I’m sure he’s doing well–a lot of animal lovers out there!

  10. Frank says:

Good catch … and I bet the little guy doesn’t lack calories.

  13. Novroz says:

So cute and so brave! he isn’t scared with human…so cool

  14. I’m so jealous! I want to see one up close and feed it too! Tyler said that they aren’t that friendly normally though….

    • TBM says:

I had one almost climb up my leg hoping I had something. It was little scary since I don’t want to get bitten nor did I want to brush the little guy off and hurt him. I stood there frozen and he left.
