Ah you’ve come out from hiding and I see your picture on your gravator! Wonderful to meet you! 🙂
Hello!
Suddenly felt ill outside a secret Beer garden.?? you must be feeling off colour… hope you feel better soon…
I’m sure once I get some liquids (clear of course) in me I’ll perk up.
I would like to be ill with you!
I won’t tell a soul that you are in a pub with me. And I ask you don’t tell the better half 🙂
agreed–now where is that waiter?
I placed our order at the bar. No worries!
but the waiter is cute–oh, we are not supposed to be looking!
I think looking is okay. No touching!
exactly!
Love your face–you look so friendly and pretty–and very appropriately you are in front of books!
My books have moved with me to several states and now a new country. I can’t live without them. And thanks for the kind words.
if I could have all the money I have spent on books, I would be rich–but I consider myself rich with them
some things are worth spending money on: books, beer, chocolate–I’m sure there are others but can’t think of any now.
think you’ve got it pretty well covered
🙂
This will do. See you in there 🙂
I’ll get the first round.
Haha–it isn’t a secret any longer!!!!
Nope. Will be my pub review this Friday. How’s Wyoming? I’m pretending I’m there with you.
We did the tourist thing this morning and walked downtown Jackson and took touristy pics and got sweatshirts. No western themed teapots to be found yet. Sad face. Hiking and dinner at Calico for our anniversary tonight!
Seriously no teapots. that shocks me. Thank goodness for ebay. Hope you had a wonderful anniversary. How many years now–I think you said on your blog a while back but I can’t remember.
Lovely photo, and very inviting too. 🙂
It pulled me in. Of course a place just has to say beer and I’m there.
Nice picture, TBM! Hope you enjoy your time in the Secret Beer Garden. Nice to see your picture too.
thanks, Vishy!
An invitation not to be refused even if one doesn’t drink beer 😉
… Like your new look TBM gravatar !
I actually had a pims and lemonade to help beat the heat. Thanks, Poppy!
Will catch up with you in there later – if I can find it 😉 A Pimms sounds just the job; enjoy!
Thanks. Since moving here I’ve become partial to Pimms. Feel like a whole new world has opened up
Yay for beer gardens. 🙂 It’s so nice to finally put a face with the initials! Love the avatar.
Thanks, Susi!
Yay for the secret beer garden & your avatar 😀 Lovely! There s just one question left; what s your name? I mean, after all the time we know each other here, I have never asked..*shame on me*
Not shame on you, I didn’t properly introduce myself. My name is T. B. Markinson, but I’m lazy so I use my initials.
Oh, your face matches your warm personality so well!
Hope you’re feeling better soon. 😉
Thanks, Carole. I do feel much better now. May go out today and hope I don’t experience the same thing when I wander by a cute pub.
How pretty – I love the wall color with the flowers.
It pulled me in!
Well, how about that! Sounds enticing and inviting! I can see why you suddenly feel ill.
It’s really nice to see a photo of you.
Also, I see that the commenting issue is improving. Hope it’s fixed. The comment you left on my posting today made it just fine.
I need to test some more blogs this morning, but fingers crossed that it’s back to normal.
Love this photo!
🙂
Something makes me think that no beer garden could remain a secret from you for long LOL!!! 🙂 I could really use a cold beer right now because it’s 88C in my house again tonight. Lots of reading outside after work once again and not much time on the computer, so if I miss commenting on anything I ask forgiveness ahead of time :). I am in my happy place!!
I was outside myself last night reading. I’m hooked on In Cold Blood–such a good book. What are you reading?
That sounds like a good book – true crime books are wonderfully creepy aren’t they? Last night I finished the 4th Game of Thrones book. It was really good (as usual), but there were so many characters and kingdoms to keep track of that I got confused quite a few times. Luckily there is always a list of characters at the back of the book which really helps.
Now I am reading The Cuckoo’s Calling on my Nook. That’s the new book by J.K. Rowling written under the name Robert Galbraith. However, I can’t read the Nook outside in the full sun because you can’t see the screen, so my outside book is The Prince of Mist by Carlos Ruiz Zafon. It was the first book he ever had published, and it’s a YA book. I read The Shadow of the Wind and really liked it, so when I found this for $2 I thought I would give it a try. I am also still trying to finish World War Z, but I’m having a really tough time with it. It’s not often that I don’t finish a book, but I may just have to give up on this one because it is just downright boring!!
Such a shame that the World War Z is so boring and yet you loved the film. Makes me wonder what the filmmakers saw in it–good thing for you they liked it. I’m curious about the Galbraith/Rowling book. How did she settle on the pen name I wonder. I so want to start the Game of thrones but need to find the time since I fear I’ll want to read them all at once.
Sorry I had to pause in the middle of this comment since the grumpy cat demanded food. I’m back. The name Carlos Ruiz Zafon rings a bell but I don’t know why.
Happy reading and try to stay cool today!
Going outside to read for a bit now before yucky old work. Have a fabulous day :).
You too!
I guess it’s not a secret any more!
It’s an interesting marketing tactic.
Sometimes you just have to pull a sickie! Love the photo – you have such a beautiful smile!
Aw, thanks. I did my best not to do my usual with this photo: squint, stick my neck out, and put my arms behind my back like I’m launching off a ski jump.
Aha – that old Hollywood Red Carpet Pose!
Yep. I think Marilyn Munroe taught me that in a former life.
He he… It’s no longer a secret beer garden, now that you’ve shown us this picture.
I haven’t been to Portobello in ages!
We live pretty close to Portobello and whenever we need London stuff to send home for gifts we head over. You can pretty much buy anything London there. It was really hot and crowded when we went so I was happy to find the “secret” beer garden.
I couldn’t have resisted it.. 😀
Why would you want to.
At last we get to see you. Instead of being greeted by a violet square next to TBM, it is nice to see the real you.
thank you and hello!
