I promised Vishy I would share some photos of my cat, Atticus. I had mentioned that Att can be quite grumpy, but lovable in his own way, and Vishy wanted to see a photo. Being me, I had to share more than one. Even though he can be grumpy and sometimes he looks like he’s plotting my death, I love Atticus. Vishy, I’m sorry about the delay. Hope you enjoy.

Plotting your death?!?! That’s hilarious. You know I’m not a cat person because I’m really allergic to them, but even I have to admit that Atticus is a cutie :).
Oh you would love him. He sheds like crazy, always wants to be fed, and sleeps on my pillow. But I still adore the little guy.
He looks like a very senior Duke or some high up official who looks down at his serfs and know what they are thinking – but he always knows better because he (of course) is far superior to everyone else 🙂
Oh he lets me know every day that I’m an idiot and I should do whatever he says. It took him less than a day to train me. And he’s a picky eater even though when he adopted me (he climbed into my car and insisted I take him home) he had been living on the streets for at least a year.
They say you never own a cat, the cat owns you – I think it’s true!
oh yes. don’t even try or think the opposite or life would be horrible.

Att amazes me every day. I never know what he’s thinking. Once he convinced himself if he jumped high enough to the top part of a window he could escape. He ran from the opposite side of the room at full steam, launched himself from a tall dresser and aimed for the top and then slammed into the glass. It was a valiant effort and no major damage occurred. He never tried it again though.
LOL! What are you (or is it Miles…?) doing to him that he so desperately wants to escape?!
It was time for bed so I brought him inside. He was miffed.

he’s used to getting his way, but I insist he come in at night. He stays on our balcony but I don’t want to leave the door open all night in this neighborhood
They are safer in at night. I used to round mine up in the evening, too.

LOL! Three. One of whom refused to go out, so that was easy. Another one was more like a dog and did as he was told. The third one… the size of a dog, but very much the mind of a cat.
I love how animals have their own personalities. Many people don’t realize that.
Since I live with Mrs Supergrumpy I don’t think he looks all that grumpy but he’s a beautiful cat.
Maybe they are related? Thanks, I think he’s gorgeous but I may be a tad bit biased.

Being a connoisseur of cat looks, I know those. Do you sometimes have to hide your toes at night?
Not at night. When I’m at my desk. He loves to walk in and bite the top of my foot to let me know he’s hungry. I really don’t like it.
The cat looks dangerous to me… more dangerous than the lion I see…
He likes to “hunt” our dog. Miles hates it.

He’s not grumpy, he’s misunderstood. Have you ever noticed that cats like being told how handsome they are. My next door neighbour’s cat absolutely loves me and I’m sure it’s just because I tell him he’s gorgeous!

He looks very regal. How do you deal with all that hair. Our Finn is a short-haired cat and she sheds. I couldn’t imagine the long hair.
Good thing we don’t have carpet so that helps. But we wash sheets and blankets quite a big.

Atticus is gorgeous. If it’s any consolation he only looks really grumpy in two of the pics. In the rest he looks like he’s just acting, keeping up his image of being a grump.

Is Atticus camera shy?
We had a dog who, at first, seemed to love getting her photo taken. She would hold still, look into the camera, and pose for me each time. Very cute. But I think I became annoying to her because she suddenly switched to being camera shy. Every time the camera came out and I held it up to take her photo, she would deliberately turn away.
Att hates the camera. usually he wanders off, or he comes too close so I can’t get a shot. Miles loves the camera. Your dog was a fast learner!
He looks like he’s plotting our deaths now 🙂 But at the same time he’s so adorable….. Great name too!

he is a beautiful cat. cats take life on their own terms – sometimes they seem grumpy but they’re just being cats. as i’ve said before, the only thing that stops them from ruling the world is that they don’t have moveable thumbs to open their own cans of food.
I do know that Att runs this house. so he might be one step closer to ruling the world. You’ve been warned 🙂

The photos of Atticus remind me of that viral You Tube video of Henri the cat. Have you seen it? Henri “speaks” to us about all of the injustices he’s had to endure at home and how he’s been wrongly “imprisoned” by his owners. I think Atticus might say the same thing. 🙂 (Though Henri speaks in French.)
Do Atticus and Miles keep their distance from one another?
I love Henri the cat and how perfect that he speaks French. It just fits him. On really cold nights, Att and Miles might share the same bed, but it’s a really big bed. They aren’t the best of friends, but they coexist because they have to.
Even if the kitty is grumpy, he’s a cute boy 🙂
