We have two adventures planned almost back to back. One involves getting on a plane and seeing a new place. The other involves packing up everything we own, putting it on a truck, driving a few miles, and then unloading all of that stuff. Guess which adventure I’m looking forward to the most. Oh well.
I’m not sure how long I’ll be disconnected from the world. I’ll do my best to pop in and say hello when I can. Or I may be at the pub taking my back medicine (in case you were wondering: beer or cider). I wish everyone well and have a wonderful few weeks!

Enjoy your holiday and good luck.
Thanks, Vinnieh!
Hope you won’t be gone too long. We are about to start up R.I.P. VIII and it wouldn’t be the same without you! Look forward to reports about both adventures as they unfold.
I’m bringing a RIP book on holiday! And I might have time to read it 🙂 Thanks, Car1!
Will miss your posts while you are gone but HAVE FUN —at least the first part, okay???? We will all be here when you pop back in!
Thanks Beth Ann. I’ll miss all the teapots and the crazy stuff you find for Wednesday. I hope all is well and have a great few weeks.
Oh I got that teapot, btw, from England but I don’t think I will be featuring it. I am afraid it might offend some—but it is really a work of art. 🙂 Have a great trip!!!!
Glad you like it and I totally understand. Thanks!
Dear TBM! Enjoy both adventures!!! (I would buy the first one better!!! :))… Take a lot of ideas and a lot of pics!
Thanks. I’ll do my best to enjoy both and of course I may snap one or two photos 🙂
Have a nice time dear TBM, be in safe, I’ll be looking for you, you will be missed. Thanks and Love, nia
Thanks very much Nia. Have a wonderful few weeks.
Enjoy and don’t over do the back medicine it could make the moving more troublesome…
That is true or I may suddenly remember where I put the can opener from the first move here.
Have a good time and take lots of pics! Of both events. Urgh, I so hate moving 😦
I hate it to and yet I seem to do it a lot!
I’ve got one coming in a few months… dread to even think about it…
Good luck! Where are you moving to? Another part of London or out of the capital altogether?
Oh no! I’m sorry to hear that. Are you staying in Spain? We’ll still be in London, just in a cheaper neighborhood. Won’t be neighbors with Will and Kate anymore.
No, no, it’ll be a good thing, I need to be somewhere a bit bigger than Toledo. And I will stay in Spain, no plans to change that for the moment.
Fingers crossed you’ll enjoy your new neighbourhood 🙂
I think Miles will love it. He’ll have a small garden. I’ll love that Miles can go in the garden while I work.
Good luck with your move!
That sound like a move in the right direction 🙂
But I’ll miss my blog buddy!
Ah, thanks! Will catch up when I can. Take care!
Have a beer for me!
You can count on that!
enjoy your holiday and the move. moves can be fun, packing up the memories and starting new ones even if it is just a few blocks down the road. i always find though, when i think i’m done packing, always there is one more box to go.
That’s true. How does that always happen? And then when I’m unpacking there’s always one more box.
Are you leaving London? Or just moving house? In any case – good luck. I hate moving.
Enjoy your holiday.
We’ll still be in London but not near the heart of London. I’m with you, moving sucks.
Have fun and enjoy your travel adventure and I hope, you make it through the move unscathed. I used to love moving and starting fresh… now, not so much. I get hives just thinking about having to pack up all of our stuff, especially the kids’.
Hives. I hope I can avoid that! Can’t imagine what it’s like moving with kids. Just packing Miles and Att is difficult.
It’s not fun, I tell you. We did it once when our son was 1 1/2 but have been in this house ever since – now we have three kids and a few animals… I think, we’ll stay put a little longer!!! 🙂
Don’t blame you. It’s not fun!
Safe travels and best of luck with the move! See you when you return. 😀
Thanks, Jackie!
Safe travels.
Thanks, Jerry.
have fun and good luck in your move–I like your idea of medicine
No reason for medicine to taste bad.
Have fun! And beer is such a nice med haha, hope everything goes okay.
Thanks. I hope so too!
Best of luck on all your adventures! Looking forward to hearing all about it!
Thanks, Naomi. Will do my best to document it all.
Have a blast on your holiday and Dr. Cindy says to have at least 3 doses of your back medicine every day during the move!! Hope you still have time to visit for the mystery photo, but if not we will anxiously await your return :).
Tomorrow might be difficult to pop in on the photo. And 3 doses while moving. Better make them half pints.
Nah, do full pints :).
I may not have any dishes left if I do that.
LOL 🙂
Hope you have a GREAT VACATION and what a way to go I finally finished our book! Embarrassing I know! But totally loved it. And I can’t believe it took me so long to read the last 50 pages. Kids and life tend to delay certain things. It’s too funny. We’ll chat when you get back :or whenever you want 🙂
Glad you enjoyed and I don’t know how you manage to juggle so much. You and the family are always up to some type of adventure. Will be in touch soon about the book. Not sure how long it will take me to get up and running in the new place.
Enjoy and good luck! Sounds exciting.
Thanks, Anna. I know you know all about moving 🙂
May your travels be blessed with peace and lots of fun! May your move be easier than usual without strained backs:)
I’m really hoping for no strained backs. Thanks!
Have fun…At last I got a chance to say my Tamil proverb..”Go forth and come back victorious”
And also, thanks for your immediate and lovely comments on my blog. Really looked forward to them and appreciated them, even though I never thanked you each and every time.
It’s always fun to pop and in see your wonderful stories. And I love that proverb. Will have to remember that one.
Just a fun dance to brighten your day..the latest craze in Chennai
Ah, this was perfect. Thanks for sharing!
Have a good trip, but moving is a pain, no way around it.
I’m trying to stay positive. Wait until the actual day I may be in a different mood.
Good luck with your move and thank goodness it’s only down the road. I’m sure your other adventure will be much more appealing 😉 I moved 2,400 miles this summer, and the moving company was only THREE weeks late in delivery…
3 weeks late! Why? I hope you are settled now.
Enjoy your adventure! Moving is rough, but compared to your last move it will be much easier. Pack smart and it will be over before you know it. 😃
Yes this move isn’t as terrifying. And it will be much easier to move Miles and Att. I hated putting them on a plane and then meeting them in London. Now it’s just one taxi ride. So much easier and less stressful!
Hope all goes well – we moved 4 times in 10 months last year when we were doing up the houses in England – stock up on alcohol is my advice! 🙂
Sounds like great advice and you are a pro now!
Bon voyage, TB! Don’t even think about moving while you’re gone.
I didn’t, but now reality is staring me in the face.
Another holiday? how fun!
Enjoy your holiday and be safe 🙂
Thanks Novroz!
Enjoy … and see you when you return! Meanwhile, don’t forget to have a beer or two.
Is that per day or hour?
LOL …. well, I imagine both intervals have a place.
have fun in your holiday and goodluck with the move 🙂
Thanks!
You don’t have a still life and that’s a good thing. Good luck.
Funny, this morning I was thinking I want to stay in bed for a week. Of course I can’t, but it would be nice. Thanks for the luck.
Always look for a positive in whatever you do! Thats the way to create perfect pleasure and enjoyment most of the time. Hey, moving means at last everythings is tidy and clean again!! Ha Ha. See you soon.
Liz
Thanks Liz. I’ll remind myself this during the next couple of weeks. The fun begins soon!
Getting on a plane and going somewhere is probably a lot less work. 🙂
Yes it is. And I don’t bring a lot of stuff on trips so that makes it much easier. That gives me an excuse to buy stuff 🙂
Hope your move goes well, TBM. Wish you all the best. Have a wonderful trip and holiday! Looking forward to seeing the pictures.
Thanks Vishy. That reminds me, I need to download the photos.
Now I’m dying to hear about where you fly!
A couple of places actually. More on that later 🙂
And good luck with the move 🙂
Thanks Gilly.
Have fun! 🙂
Will do my best.
Have a great trip! Moving can be a bit distressing, but can be a chapter of great beginnings.
I look forward to your return:)
Thanks. I’ll be happy when it’s all done.
I feel better after reading this… I was worried today but afraid to ask… good luck!
Didn’t mean to worry you. Hope all is well.
Enjoy!! I want to hear all about it when you get back – now hurry up and get back!
One part done. Now for adventure number 2!
Don’t skip the medicine TBM & enjoy the trip !
Good luck with those boxes when the time comes .
Ugh I’m not looking forward to all the boxes … must take lots of medicine.
Can’t wait to read all about it. Good luck!
Thanks, Renee!
Have a wonderful trip and good luck with the move…moving drives me spare every time.
Thanks, Jo. First day of the move is over. Day 2 tomorrow–may need a couple of shots tonight.
Hope it’s all going well!
I haven’t been in the blogging world much at all lately. I’m sorry about not keeping up with your posts.
Please don’t apologize. I know what you are going through and I completely understand. Take care, Fergiemoto.
