I was in the heart of London a couple of weeks ago and loved seeing all the lights. These photos were taken on a cold night with my cell phone. When I got home, Miles let me know he wasn’t impressed that we had fun without him. It took him at least two minutes to forgive me, but those two minutes broke my heart (and made me chuckle–he looks so serious).
Piccadilly Circus
One angry dog since he had to stay home.

Ooh, you got the doggie glare there! Love the photos, London is so magical at Christmas 🙂
Miles wasn’t impressed at all with me that night. poor guy. But I think he looks so adorable even when he’s mad. going to “town” again later this week to see more lights.
You’ve not told him about this yet, have you….?
Goodness no! I want him to like me for the next few days. I should bring home a bone for him. maybe that will help with the disappointment.
It should be amazing in these days… Thank you dear TBM, Miles’ expression in his face amazing too:) Love, nia
Thanks Nia. Happy holidays.
OMG! Miles is just amazing. You know I’m in love with him but that was just all sorts of epic!
You can probably see why Miles gets everything he wants. Too cute to say no to.
Absolutely. Resistance would be futile.
And mean. He really is the best dog in the world.
Awesome photos – London is sure looking festive! I’m trying to get my house to look festive, but I need more hours in the day and more energy so that I can finish the job LOL :). By the way, I can just about hear all the names Miles is calling you, and they are shocking :). Poor Miles.
Just imagine if it was Att cussing me out.
Does Att ever hiss at you? 🙂
Not at me. I’ve seen him to it when there’s another cat in his garden. It’s kinda scary.
Ya, cats hissing kind of creep me out :).
I wouldn’t want to fight a cat. Never get in the middle of a pussy fight.
LMAO!!!!!
😉
Oh, London has got to be a magical place this time of year. Love the photos. And poor Miles!
Hugs from Ecuador,
Kathy
Hi Kathy. I loved your story on Huffington. Great job. London is fun this time of year. Happy holidays!
Can’t remember the last time I was in London over Christmas/New Year – probably more than 20 or 30 years ago! Good to see such an adorable photo of Miles – funny but our dogs rarely do that. Maybe they don’t miss us when we got out? 😀
I’m sure they miss you! Miles has always been a pouter. he learned early on that it works for him. Happy holidays!
Oh Miles. He has the pout perfected, that is for sure.
Oh yes, and it works each time. He just conned me out of a treat!
you and Ms. Loony were having way too much fun–
You can never have too much fun–at least not until the morning after.
good answer
🙂
It looks so beautiful! Hope Miles let’s you two enjoy some more outings without him, just think of it as “date night” 😉
We try to do date night once a week, much to Miles’s annoyance. Is it festive there?
I sounds like Miles still gets a lot of love, he can spare you two for an evening. It is festive here, though it does’t look like we will be getting a White Christmas. Neighbors are decorating and the city is all lit up. I can’t believe it’s already Christmas!
Too bad you won’t have a White Christmas. That always makes it a little more special for me. Our neighbors don’t decorate much here, south of the river, but all the pubs have. Not that I spend that much time in the pubs.
happy holidays!
That dog is going to get you back… love the photos…
He usually does! Thanks bulldog.
Gorgeous lights! It is hard to believe Christmas is just a week away. Especially hard to believe here where we’ve went from very seasonable temps to four days of Spring temps. But we’ll come back to Christmas weather by the end of the week. Which I’m glad of, as this warm weather is harshing my Christmas mellow.
Come over here, it’s cold and rainy. However, if you want a shot at a white Christmas, you might want to stay put. Doesn’t really snow here and when it does, it’s not much. Happy holidays!
Awww what a cutie pie ❤ I love Christmas ❤ PS a bone would for sure help with the disappointment 😀
This is a great time of year! I have a bone ready for our next date night to help him get over it.
Oh, Miles, you are gooooood! You could give guilt lessons. 😀
I so want to see London at Christmastime now. It’s supposed to be 80 here today, so doesn’t feel a whole lot like that time of year. Not complaining.
Wow! 80 sounds nice. Just froze my butt off at the park playing fetch with Miles. Such a cold wind today. I’m dreaming of 80 right now.
In Europe they start Christmas at the right time, between the first and second week of December. In the States they start in September and by the time Christmas rolls around I am so tired of seeing all of that excess. Here is Christmas is all about selling more.
The season starts pretty early in London. I’ve been seeing signs and advertisements for weeks now.
Emotional blackmail!!!! 🙂 🙂 I know it!!!
I bet you do!
🙂
He looks more sad than angry. Which is probably worse. Hope the doggie bone helps ease the tension. 😉
the bones work like a charm each time. Miles can’t stay mad or sad for long. He loves life.
Oh my goodness. Poor Miles. Even his “mad” face is the cutest!
Looks like you’re having fun this Christmas season.
Miles knows how to pour on the charm to get his way. I bet Reggie is the same.
The lights look so pretty! 🙂
You’d love it here Grace.
It looks beautiful! I love how it is all decorated.
And Miles is still cute, even though you are getting the doggy stink eye. LOL
He’s great at the doggy stink eye!
I was wondering how Christmas looks on your side of the pond. Are those supposed to be giant antlers in the picture top right corner image? I hope Miles the Glaring is aware that he got the star photo treatment in this post.
I couldn’t tell if they were reindeer antlers or just a Christmas design. If I’m in the area again soon, I’ll take a closer peek. Miles loves to have his photo taken. Att the Cat doesn’t.
Very pretty light clicks! Miles is guilting you in a big way. What a face!
Thanks Pix. Miles knows what he’s doing, that’s for sure.
Awww poor Miles! I love his expression, fortunately he didn’t breake the furniture while being left alone 😉
London looks so bright.
Miles is a good boy. Never breaks anything, unless it’s a Christmas tree. We don’t put one up any more since Miles and Att knock it down every single day.
I presume it was a small Christmas tree, right? Or they are powerful enough to knock down a big tree?
I would say a medium tree. I think they work together. Att would climb in it and Miles would push from the bottom. It’s the only time they ever work as a team.
Hahaha @ Miles’s accusing facial expression. The lights were worth it though. 🙂
Miles just doesn’t understand why we can’t play in the park all day long. Don’t tell him, but I’m heading back to the City later today. He won’t be happy.
You need a bone stash 😉
Glad the City is putting on the Glitz …. bet it’s getting frantic coming up to the last weekend …
Enjoy all the fun TBM !
Yes, the last weekend is always a bit touch and go. Good luck and happy holidays!
Ooh, those lights are so pretty! And Miles totally cracks me up… XD
He is a character.
Beautiful London pictures, TBM! Loved Miles’ picture 🙂
Ah, thanks. Miles isn’t shy about telling me how he feels.
🙂
Such an adorable face! Miles is so cute!
The photos look very festive with all the lights. Hope you have a wonderful holiday season!
It’s been magical so far. I hope your area is festive as well.
